MGAG: Chapter 68

A needle could be heard falling in the study. Chen Shiming’s eyes froze when he heard this. “Do you mean that you can find out the person who passed on the news about the meeting room back then?”

“I just said an inner ghost. I’m not sure if it is the one from the meeting room.” Chen Qizhao shook the pen holder and a memory card fell out. “Someone has been following me for several days.”

The voice on the phone was understated, as if this matter of being followed was trivial in his eyes.

Chen Shiming’s eyes sank and he said sternly, “Chen Qizhao, you should’ve told me earlier about someone following you, now more than before. It isn’t known what tricks Lin Shizong will do. The people he hires are outlaws…”

“The long tracking time shows that he is suspicious of me and is also investigating me.” Chen Qizhao followed Chen Shiming’s previous words and said, “If you can’t find something on a person after a long time, will you only check him alone with your shrewdness?”

Chen Shiming didn’t speak.

“You won’t and neither was Lin Shizong.”

Chen Qizhao put down his pen holder and said, “Then who will be checked? He will check the people I have a relationship with and my contacts. It isn’t just those who are secretly photographing outside. The people should reasonably exist in their range of suspicion and sight… we should look at fixed locations, such as the group headquarters.”

Chen Shiming frowned. “They will check you and will also check me.”

He understood Chen Qizhao’s intentions. “You want to lure him out.”

“You are too conspicuous and it is easy to be exposed if they follow you,” Chen Qizhao continued. “If I was Lin Shizong, I wouldn’t check you. I would check your assistants, the business you have handled, etc. Then if it is checking me…”

“Isn’t there one defenseless and very obvious person?”

Late at night, the dormitory building of the Ninth Research Institute.

The door opened.

Liu Sui was struggling with his thesis. The data was dazzling. Then he saw Shen Yuhuai coming back and he was surprised. “No, Yuhuai. Why did you come back at this point? I thought you were going to live in the city.”

“I have something to deal with.” Shen Yuhuai put his backpack on the chair. He glanced at Liu Sui’s screen. “This part of the data isn’t finished yet?”

“No!” Liu Sui was bitter. “If only it was that easy.”

Shen Yuhuai didn’t answer him. He took a pair of pajamas and went to the bathroom to take a shower.

After coming out, he went to the water dispenser and poured a cup of warm water. Then he put it on the table.

After dealing with things at the police station, Shen Yuhuai had taken the memory card. Shen Yuhuai clicked on it and found that they were all photos of Chen Qizhao during this time. The time spanned a wide range and had photos of the school, company and even the bar. Shen Yuhuai frowned slightly. He took a sip of water and turned to the earliest photo time of the memory card.

It was five days ago.

This person had followed Chen Qizhao for five years.

Shen Yuhuai frowned slightly and looked through the photos from beginning to end.

Liu Sui slid back his chair. “Yuhuai, do you have a backup of the dormitory’s data last time? It is where A0123 is concerned. I want to find the data reference.”

He looked at Shen Yuhuai and saw a photo disappearing suddenly.

“F*k, are you looking at some female idol?” Liu Sui suddenly became interested. “Let me see which fairy can make our study god’s heart move.”

“There is no copy. Is the draft data okay?” Shen Yuhuai said.

Lin Sui hesitated. “Why do I feel like you are changing the topic? Are you really looking at a female idol?”

Shen Yuhuai looked at him. “Do you want it?

“Yes yes yes!” Liu Sui said. “The draft data is also okay. I’ll wait for tomorrow to compare it.”

Shen Yuhuai took out a notebook from his backpack and handed it over.

Liu Sui took the notebook, but before he could hold it firmly, he was suddenly pulled away again.

Liu Sui: “?”

Shen Yuhuai told him, “Wait.”

Liu Sui watched Shen Yuhuai take the notebook back. He opened it to a certain page and tore it off directly. Then he turned the notebook to one of the pages. “What are you tearing off?”

“It is useless scrap.” Shen Yuhuai handed him the notebook. “This page is from A0123.”

Liu Sui watched him put away the so-called useless scrap in a book. Didn’t he take away a useless scrap?

He looked at Shen Yuhuai keenly. “Yuhuai, something is wrong with you tonight.”

Shen Yuhuai opened a certain document and the information revealed was dense.

Liu Sui came energetically. “It is almost 12 o’clock now. In the past, you used to go to bed at 11 o’clock on time. Today, you returned to the dormitory at the time of the access control and now you aren’t sleeping. You are looking at some unknown photos. Tsk, you look like a thief with a guilty conscience.”

Shen Yuhuai took a sip of water. “There is an experiment at 9 o’clock tomorrow morning. If you deal with the thesis now, you will still have at least five hours of sleep.”

Liu Sui said, “…You are pretty accurate about my productivity.”

He turned his head to leave. He had just taken two steps when he stopped. “It isn’t a female idol. Then is it a girlfriend?”

No one answered the question and Liu Sui planned to leave in a bored manner.

Suddenly, a voice was heard behind him.

Shen Yuhuai said, “I’m chasing.”

Liu Sui was shocked. “Are you chasing someone? F*k!”

“Wait… I remember that you seem to be going to S College today. D*mn, is she from S College?”

Shen Yuhuai glanced at the time. “It is 12 o’clock. Are you still not going?”

Liu Sui: “…”

“You are arousing people’s interest and then pouring cold water on it.”

He took two steps before coming back again. “You really aren’t going to tell me?”

Shen Yuhuai didn’t speak and continued to read the document.

Liu Sui saw that this man was so stubborn and couldn’t be asked anything, so he had to go back and continue typing his paper.

Once the sound of typing on the keyboard was heard from the other side, Shen Yuhuai opened the book and put the so-called ‘useless scrap’ into a folder in the drawer.

Once he finished, he opened the memory card again.

The photo that caught his eye was Chen Qizhao, who was sitting in a relaxed manner on the edge of the sports field. His hands were casually on his legs and he seemed to have just opened a bottle cap. He was tilting his head to talk to the classmate next to him. Shen Yuhuai’s eyes stopped on the other person’s face that was slightly red from exercise. Then he closed his eyes slightly and reached out to pick up the warm water next to him.

He closed the photo and reopened the document he had asked for from the inspection room.

The Chen family’s aromatherapy, the bizarre control channels… and the person following Chen Qizhao.

Shen Yuhuai’s eyes darkened slightly and entered a line of keywords on the webpage.

There were many high-rise buildings and the traffic flow on the road was constant.

It was a good morning.

Xiao Zhou passed the staff area with the coffee he had just bought. After greeting someone, he yawned and went into the office. Then someone knocked on the door with documents and asked him a question. They had brought some documents from Feihong’s side. He quickly specified the content of today’s work and rushed out to print a few documents.

He didn’t know why but his workload had started to skyrocket in the past few days. Most of the work had fallen on him.

The boss’ instructions also became more complicated. Either he was asked to run to President Chen’s office or he was asked to go downstairs to get documents. The number of phone calls every day gradually increased.

In the past two days, the boss had come to the company and suddenly became diligent. He came to the company when he wasn’t in class but he didn’t do anything except argue with the boss.

All of this was like a sudden test. Xiao Zhou had to work hard to deal with it, trying to satisfy the boss.

“Xiao Zhou, come with me later.” Assistant Xu happened to be walking this way and said upon seeing him, “I have something for you.”

Xiao Zhou said hello. Then he looked down at the things that still needed to be printed with a bit of doubt on his face.

“Zhou Zhou, are you coming to the 7th floor again?”

“You look very busy these days!”

A lot of people were in the printing room and they all greeted Xiao Zhou when they saw him.

Xiao Zhou prevaricated with a few words. He took out the printed materials and ran to the boss’ office. Then after delivering the things, he returned to Assistant Xu.

It was a fact that Chen Qizhao’s team lacked people in the company. The longer this lasted, the more people discussed it.

Seeing how Chen Qizhao’s only assistant was busy all day, especially when the workload increased, the private discussions of the employees became more enthusiastic.

The tea room was lively and many people were coming and going.

“This week, the assistant has often gone to President Chen’s side?”

“Maybe it is for another project. I heard that old Chairman Chen wants to support the second young master? Maybe President Chen gave him a project. Can he not run fast?”

“Yes. I seem to have seen Zhou Zhou go to Chairman Chen two days ago. It seems that Chairman Chen really values the second young master during this time.”

“But the relationship between the second young master and Xiao Chen is still very bad. I passed by yesterday and heard the second young master fighting with Xiao Chen. I heard that Xiao Chen always wanted to recruit Assistant Zhou to work in his department, but the second young master refused to allow it.

A man poured instant coffee and listened to the whispered discussions in the tea room. Finally, he poured a bit of sugar into the coffee.

The scalding hot water rushed into the cup while the discussion around him revealed more and more information. He used the time when making a cup of coffee to collect information from all directions as usual.

“Still, it is true that Assistant Zhou and Special Assistant Xu have become close recently.”

“Assistant Zhou seems to have gone to Special Assistant Xu just now. I don’t know what they will discuss over there.”

“No, I just heard someone ask Assistant Zhou to go to the 12th floor. Is there going to be a meeting today?”

The cup was steaming. The man stirred the coffee and left the tea room to head toward the glass door.

The employee elevator was on the other side. He glanced at Second Young Master Chen’s office not far away. He just wanted to return to his work station when he suddenly saw Xiao Zhou coming out of Chen Qizhao’s office and walking to the location of the elevator.

He was thoughtful and took a few steps out with the coffee. He leaned against the glass door and saw Xiao Zhou enter the elevator.

Was he really going to the 13th floor? In the past few days, the actions of Chen Qizhao’s assistant had indeed become more frequent.

The man took a sip of the coffee, his eyes fixed on the faint elevator numbers outside the glass. Then he left the place.

Inside Chen Shiming’s office.

Special Assistant Xu entered the office with the document. He saw the boss at the desk watching the surveillance and said, “Boss, I asked someone to take Xiao Zhou to the 13th floor. The door of the meeting room was opened for him to go in and take the meeting minutes.”

During this period of time, it wasn’t known what was wrong with the boss. In the past, he used to let others go to the second young master’s office to send documents and occasionally had to deal with several people. Then something changed since three days ago. If there were any documents or important matters then he would directly let Xiao Zhou go to run errands. The most important thing was that the second young master didn’t lose his temper with his boss.

Special Assistant Xu had been going back and forth on the uncertain relationship between his boss and his brother for a long time. Now he became more and more uncertain about his boss’ thoughts.

At this time, the boss suddenly said, “No need. Give Xiao Zhou half a day off.”

“Huh?”

Chen Shiming looked at the surveillance on the floor where Chen Qizhao’s office was located. He noticed someone who had followed Xiao Zhou out.

One occurrence was a coincidence, but if it occurred many times then it was inevitable.
