CEFYMA: Chapter 41

Go back half an hour.

Yan Tingxuan was the first to choose the roller coaster project.

No matter whether it was You Mian’s charm on the back or the deliberately concealed excitement at the end of the Rapids ride this morning, Yan Tingxuan felt that You Mian must like such exciting and challenging rides.

However, Yan Tingxuan was still undecided after the selection. It was because he knew that other people might choose the same one as him for this date.

Therefore, the man frowned slightly and looked at the others with a thoughtful attitude.

Yun Guanqing suddenly sneered and asked, “Are you so anxious? You seem pretty sure about what ride you want to go to.”

Yan Tingxuan stretched out his hand and pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses without changing his expression. He no longer concealed his certainty of victory.

“Yes, the roller coaster is a challenge for me. I really want to give it a try,” Yan Tingxuan said.

Yun Guanqing’s long hair was tied behind his head. His delicate and heroic eyes looked between Yan Tingxuan and Pei Huaiji.

He wasn’t as anxious as Yan Tingxuan. He chose to wait and see.

“Chairman Pei, choose first. I haven’t decided yet,” Yun Guanqing left the choice to Pei Huaiji.

In the footage of the show, Pei Huaiji didn’t say a word. He just silently stretched out his hand to the ‘aquarium’ card.

“I’ll go here,” Pei Huaiji said.

In an instant, the expressions of everyone present changed slightly, especially Yan Tingxuan.

Yan Tingxuan almost laughed, but he restrained himself and remained calm.

It seemed that it was just a coincidence that Pei Huaiji chose the same group as You Mian the first two times.

How could such a lucky coincidence happen again and again.

Yan Tingxuan thought that he knew You Mian very well. It was absolutely impossible for You Mian to go to a place like the aquarium.

It was boring and uninteresting.

Yun Guanqing obviously had the same idea as Yan Tingxuan after seeing Pei Huaiji’s choice.

He raised his eyebrows slightly. Then after Pei Huaiji, he chose the ‘Ferris Wheel’ card.

The probability of meeting You Mian at this ride seemed lower than the roller coaster, but Yun Guanqing was sure that the probability was higher than the aquarium chosen by Pei Huaiji.

You Mian’s previous flamboyant and unrestrained appearance had left a very deep impression in his mind.

Yun Guanqing subconsciously thought, ‘How can such a person choose the ordinary aquarium?’

It was either the extremely exciting roller coaster or the quiet Ferris Wheel.

Yun Guanqing smiled. He thought that it wouldn’t be the aquarium anyway.

The three of them made their selections, and only Huo Yanzhi remained.

Everyone’s eyes fell on him for a few seconds. They found that the man wasn’t as depressed as he was at noon.

Huo Yanzhi had used this period of time to sort out his mood. After weighing it several times, he felt that You Mian was the least likely to go to the aquarium. Thus, he followed Pei Huaiji and chose that place.

In the afternoon, Yan Tingxuan walked to the roller coaster area with great confidence. The first thing that caught his eye was Guan Tong’s pink hair that showed off a strong presence.

In an instant, the man’s footsteps paused slightly.

Yan Tingxuan frowned slightly, forgetting to cover up his expression in front of the camera.

Guan Tong didn’t care how disappointed Yan Tingxuan was. He waved his hand happily and said to Yan Tingxuan, “Good afternoon.”

Yan Tingxuan’s lips twitched. He greeted Guan Tong while wildly thinking in his mind about where You Mian would go if he didn’t go to the roller coaster.

Did he go to the Ferris Wheel to meet Yun Guanqing?

On the other side, Yun Guanqing met Shen Nanxiao at the boarding platform of the Ferris Wheel. He felt a lot of loss in his heart, but he didn’t show it.

The man said hello with a smile, but he didn’t take off his sunglasses, hiding his disappointed eyes.

The moment Shen Nanxiao and Yun Guanqing got on the same carriage of the Ferris Wheel, Yun Guanqing looked at the ground that was getting further and further away. Suddenly, he frowned and thought, ‘Did You Mian really go to the roller coaster ride?’

Wasn’t that an advantage for Yan Tingxuan?

“I didn’t expect the two of us to be in a group,” Shen Nanxiao said with a smile.

Yun Guanqing hummed absentmindedly and continued to fall into thought.

He didn’t know why Yan Tingxuan’s attitude toward You Mian suddenly changed so much.

Maybe it was because Bai Lin was away, or maybe there were other reasons, but none of these reasons could make Yun Guanqing retreat.

Yan Tingxuan said he had been friends with You Mian for over ten years, but as long as You Mian didn’t admit it in front of the camera, the relationship was as fragile as if it was non-existent.

Compared to Yan Tingxuan, the very lucky Pei Huaiji was the one who made Yun Guanqing more worried.

This aloof chairman seemed out of place on this romance show.

Now that he thought about it more carefully, he realized that You Mian should’ve sent both the first and second heartbeat text messages to Pei Huaiji. On the first day, Pei Huaiji and You Mian were together. Now Pei Huaiji and You Mian spent the longest time together on the amusement park date.

Yun Guanqing looked out the car window, and his Adam’s apple moved slightly. His mind gradually became heavy.

He didn’t forget what the director said when he stayed up all night last night to fulfill his schedule.

Yun Guanqing knew that the shortcomings of his acting skills were emotional scenes. His standardized acting style was enough to cope with most variety shows and dramas. However, when filming for the big screen, Yun Guanqing’s emotional scenes would always cause the director to lecture him alone.

However, the scene last night actually passed in one go. It was also the most emotional, tearful scene that was usually difficult for him to show.

At that time, the director was also shocked. His ‘cut’ that came from behind the monitor was terrifyingly loud.

[You can act so well. Did you meet someone?]

The director knew that Yun Guanqing had accepted a romance show, so he naturally thought of this.

Yun Guanqing couldn’t figure it out. He casually took the water bottle handed over by the staff and smiled, saying, “I just met a very interesting person. He hates me now.”

The director was suddenly stunned. Then he smiled and patted Yun Guanqing on the shoulder, saying, “This isn’t how you like someone. You should control your temper.”

“Observe more with your eyes and look at other people’s expressions, just like you did when you were learning to act. Don’t always refuse to admit defeat in words.”

Yun Guanqing smiled casually and explained, “Director, you misunderstood. I don’t like him. I just think he is quite interesting.”

The director was slightly surprised. Then he shook his head helplessly, smiled, and said meaningfully, “You—”

“If you don’t hurry up, you’ll cry when you miss him.”

Yun Guanqing held his chin and looked outside the Ferris Wheel. He could no longer remember what the director kept saying. He only remembered that he was in a hurry to rush back to the house for the next day’s date.

As a result, his luck was really bad. He couldn’t talk to You Mian much all day.

Should he use his eyes to observe more?

Yun Guanqing admitted that he had retracted his temper and didn’t particularly attack You Mian today. It did seem like the other person’s attitude had softened a bit.

The long-haired man’s lips curled slightly under the cover of his sunglasses and arms. The afternoon sun fell on the tall bridge of his nose, spreading a rare, warm color.

Yun Guanqing thought to himself, ‘It is difficult. It is harder than acting.’

There were many tourists at the entrance of the aquarium. Looking around, he could see more than a dozen young couples and even more parents with children.

Among the bustling and lively crowd, only three outstanding figures were seen standing at the door.

The young man wore an avocado-colored coat, and his thin and tall body looked energetic.

Huo Yanzhi didn’t know how things had turned out like this. He obviously wanted to avoid You Mian, but in the end, he chose You Mian’s group.

Unlike Huo Yanzhi’s worry, Pei Huaiji didn’t seem to care at all about the other guests beside him. His attitude toward You Mian was natural and cordial.

The man said in a deep voice, “It seems that the three of us will be in a group this afternoon. Let’s go in first.”

You Mian nodded, turned around, and walked into the aquarium. His body was obviously turned sideways toward Pei Huaiji.

Huo Yanzhi walked half a step behind the two of them, eyes complicated.

Three people.

In fact, such threesomes weren’t unfamiliar to Huo Yanzhi. He should say that he had long been accustomed to a threesome.

The person surrounded at that time was still You Mian, but the people standing beside You Mian were himself and Yan Tingxuan.

Huo Yanzhi could no longer remember the reason why he pinned his thoughts about Bai Lin on You Mian.

But he still remembered his shock when he heard others say that You Mian was You Jiyuan’s child.

Obviously, at that time, the real young master of the You family was still living a pitiful life abroad without receiving the care and love of his mother and father. Why did another ‘young master of the You family’ appear in China?

Therefore, Huo Yanzhi came into contact with You Mian, learned everything about him, and discovered that this person had taken over Bai Lin’s identity.

Earlier than that, he had met Bai Lin abroad and became friends with him.

Bai Lin’s pure and simple love for art made Huo Yanzhi inextricably fond of him.

It was just that Bai Lin always seemed to treat his feelings coldly, neither rejecting nor agreeing.

This was until Bai Lin begged Huo Yanzhi to return to China to find the culprit that prevented him from being able to see his parents. Huo Yanzhi agreed immediately. He transferred to A College and became You Mian’s good friend.

It was just that there were too many people around You Mian, and everyone seemed to like him.

Huo Yanzhi sneered at this. You Mian was just a thief who stole someone else’s identity. How could he deserve such admiration and love?

As You Mian’s best friend of many years, Yan Tingxuan was the one who made things difficult for Huo Yanzhi the most. This type of difficulty didn’t stop until the other person graduated and became busy.

With Yan Tingxuan’s department, Huo Yanzhi and You Mian stayed together longer.

You Mian also liked the oil paintings that Bai Lin liked, the drinks that Bai Lin liked to drink, and even the music that Bai Lin listened to often appeared on You Mian’s music player.

There were too many similarities between them in their habits. The emotions contained in their paintings were also exactly the same.

Huo Yanzhi subconsciously projected his admiration for Bai Lin onto You Mian, day after day, year after year.

It wasn’t until he learned that Bai Lin was about to return to China that Huo Yanzhi suddenly woke up from his sleep.

“Sir, please take the bracelet.”

The staff member’s voice brought Huo Yanzhi’s wandering thoughts back to reality. It also allowed Huo Yanzhi to sort out his attitude toward You Mian in an instant.

Huo Yanzhi convinced himself that a fake was a fark. The harm that You Mian caused to Bai Lin was real. He couldn’t betray Bai Lin’s trust because of this. His acquaintance with You Mian was a mistake.

Now he wanted to correct this mistake.

Just as Huo Yanzhi thought that his defenses were complete and he could avoid unnecessary entanglements no matter what You Mian said or did to him next, Huo Yanzhi suddenly discovered that You Mian wasn’t paying attention to him at all.

Huo Yanzhi: “……”

In the bustling group of tourists, You Mian and Pei Huaiji always walked slightly ahead of him. The two of them looked at the map in their hands and discussed whether to go see jellyfish or clownfish for the first top.

Pei Huaiji said, “No matter which one, it will be interesting. I also heard that there will be a mermaid show in the afternoon.”

You Mian looked up at Pei Huaiji with interest, his eyes shining.

“Mermaid?”

Pei Huaiji pursed his lips. “The type played by the staff.”

You Mian habitually grabbed Pei Huaiji’s wrist. The frequencies of the two people were highly synchronized. In an instant, they walked into the crowd, almost making Huo Yanzhi unable to find them.

The cameraman PD originally had no intention of speaking out. However, once he saw that Huo Yanzhi was really going to lose the people, he had to raise his hand helplessly. “Over there.”

Huo Yanzhi, who was left forgotten in the crowd, clutched his bracelet and felt a sudden surge of grievance in his heart.

He quickly walked forward and grabbed You Mian’s wrist, asking softly in a manner similar to when he had been jealous of Yan Tingxuan countless times. “Why didn’t you wait for me? Did you do it on purpose?”

You Mian looked at Huo Yanzhi blankly. Then he mercilessly broke away from Huo Yanzhi’s shackles. He saw that Huo Yanzhi seemed to look expectant but was also resisting.

Huo Yanzhi became slightly stunned when You Mian broke free.

Due to the camera, You Mian just smiled slightly and said, “Sorry, I forgot about Mr Huo.”

It was extremely polite, but also extremely distant.

In an instant, Huo Yanzhi’s face became extremely ugly.

Pei Huaiji’s tall figure suddenly spoke from You Mian’s other side as if he was deliberately adding fuel to the fire. His voice was still calm as he said, “There are so many people that we couldn’t take care of you. Sorry.”

Huo Yanzhi: “……”

Before Huo Yanzhi’s mind could return, Pei Huaiji raised his hand and gently pulled You Mian between the two of them to his side. His cold atmosphere accumulated, and he slowly said in a deep voice, “Don’t pull him. You will make him uncomfortable.”

i’m speechless… did he really forget that you mian was actually a victim in all this shit? why don’t you blame the parents!! they’re the one who made the switch 🤦‍♀️

    1. Mndless says:

Dude’s a moron. If he was actually kind then he’d be prime himbo material, but he isn’t. Honestly a bit of a shame. Much like the golden actor, he just listened to what the green tea said and didn’t bother to investigate anything else and understand the circumstances.

  4. KD says:

I honestly felt bad about Yun Guanqing. But really what would be their reactipn if they come to know the real situation that it was Bai Lins father who caused all of this? Tsk. I can imagine the tears.

  5. Blood says:

I really want to see his tears of regret, but I equally wish he would be stuck with the bai Lin harpy 😤

Thanks for the update 🤗 🤗

  6. KatieM says:

So did Bai Lin’s copy You Mian or was You Mian trained to like what Bai Lin did? I’m leaning towards the former because Bai Lin isn’t that talented 😂 so his paintings were probably stolen from You Mian.
